Is There a Way to Make a Drop Side Crib Safe to Use

Is there a way to make a drop side crib safe to use? I bought a baby crib kit from Rockler Wood catalogue over twenty years for a drop side crib.

As of today, all of the hardware needed to assemble the crib has gone missing and after reading up on the drop side crib ban, I realize that I would need to rebuild the crib to bring it up to today's safety standards.

Check here to see the parts you need to build a sturdy, safe crib for your baby.

Can someone tell me is there a way to make a drop side crib safe to use or if I should start over?

Unique Baby Gear Ideas advises everyone to never use drop side baby cribs. It is illegal to buy, sell or use a drop side crib. If you own a drop side crib, please disassemble it and dispose of it at the local city or county waste dump.
