Williamsburg Jenny Lind Drop Side Crib

by Kathy
(Greensboro NC)

I have a Williamsburg Jenny Lind drop side crib that was manufactured in 1980. Given the recent safety recall on drop-side cribs, does anyone know if there is an immobilizer kit that I can order that will secure the side of this crib?

Go Here to See cribs that meet current safety standards.

From the webmaster of Unique Baby Gear Ideas:

Experts in crib safety advise against using immobilization kits on drop side cribs even though in the early days of the ban some crib manufacturers provided crib immobilizer kits for use with their brand of baby beds that were manufactured between 2000 and 2009 and then recalled for safety reasons.

Rather than spend time searching for a crib immobilization kit for your Williamsburg Jenny Lind Drop Side Crib, it would really be best if you replace it.

I transformed mine into two benches and gave one to each of my children who slept in it as babies.
