Committed to Cloth Diapers

I'm pregnant with my first child and am totally committed to cloth diapers. The benefits of cloth diapering are well known: less environmental waste, earlier potty training, fewer rashes, and less overall cost. While my main reasons for using cloth are environmental, I'm also in it for the smell. I find disposables to smell terrible--a mix of plastic and perfume. I can't imagine wrapping my baby in such chemical fumes!

I'm excited to check out the Nifty Nappy diaper. I like that they are trim fitting and love the cute prints. I'm especially interested in the pocket diaper. The owl print is adorable.

I'm starting out with a mix of fitted and pocket diapers of various brands to see what works best for my baby. I hope to have a Nifty Nappy in the mix!

Unique Baby Gear Ideas shares general safety information based on guidance from U.S. safety agencies and child-safety experts, who advise families not to use drop-side cribs. This guidance applies regardless of a crib’s age or condition.

Federal safety standards prohibit the manufacture and sale of drop-side cribs. While enforcement focuses on commercial activity, safety agencies strongly advise against using drop-side cribs in any setting due to the risks they pose.

If you own a drop-side crib, safety agencies recommend removing it from use permanently and following local disposal or recycling guidelines so it cannot be reused.
