You can get a peek of the beautiful molding through the rails of the baby's crib. The installation of the DIY beadboard wainscoting in this pink and green baby girl nursery was enhanced by adding leftover fabric from the homemade crib set.




The white, wooden molding divides the nursery's wall into two sections and draws the eye along a horizontal line making this pink and grey princess nursery seem more spacious that it actually is.

Creative parents send in pictures of their handiwork using all sorts of materials that have been recycled or reclaimed.

The boards used to make this unique wooden pallet wall came from items that would otherwise have wound up taking up space in the local landfill. A pallet wall is a great place for a beginner to woodworking to start since flaws add rather than detract from the look of the project. The decision to paint, stain or whitewash the boards depends on the nursery décor.


For example the elegant, carved trim used in this baby girl's room would be out of place in a casual space.


The ornate frame of the mirror over the changing table was painted in the same color as the trim for a perfect match.
