Simmons Crib Mattress Brackets

I need information on Simmons crib mattress support brackets. I have an older Simmons crib, model number 1216 92 237.

All of the other parts are here, but the brackets that let the mattress support move up and down are missing.

I would like to know whether this crib still meets current safety standards. I would also like to know what the mattress brackets look like in case I find them in a drawer or box here at the house so I will know what they are.

Who can I call or contact to get more information about this crib and these missing parts?

Missing Simmons Crib Mattress Brackets + Safety Check for Model 1216 92 237
by: Anonymous

For an older Simmons crib like model 1216 92 237, the mattress support brackets are not universal parts and were made specifically for that crib. These brackets usually attach at each corner and hold the metal mattress support frame in place at different height levels.

On most Simmons models from that time period, the brackets are small metal L-shaped or flat corner pieces with multiple holes or slots. They typically connect the mattress support frame to the crib end panels and allow you to raise or lower the mattress as your baby grows. If they are missing, the mattress support cannot be safely installed or adjusted.

Since your crib is older, there are two important things to look at here: identifying the correct parts and confirming whether the crib still meets current safety standards.

For identifying what the brackets look like and what they are called, these pages will help you compare parts and terminology:

If you happen to find loose hardware in a drawer or box, you might use those guides to match the shape, hole pattern, and size to confirm whether they are the correct mattress support brackets.

For the safety side, it is very important to understand that many older cribs do not meet current U.S. safety standards, especially if they were made before the 2011 updates. You can review the full safety guidelines here:

If the crib is missing original hardware or cannot be confirmed as compliant, it may not be safe to use even if replacement parts are found.

For direct information, Simmons cribs are now typically associated with Delta Children. You can try contacting them for model lookup or parts questions:

Provide them with your full model number (1216 92 237) and ask if parts diagrams or replacement hardware are still available.

If the exact brackets cannot be verified for your crib, it is safest not to substitute similar-looking parts. The mattress support system depends on those brackets fitting correctly to maintain proper support and stability.
