We are decorating our baby boy's room in a puppy nursery theme with the Kenneth Brown Handsome Puppy nursery bedding set in blue and brown as inspiration for the color scheme. I had considered painting stripes on the nursery walls but after opening the package the crib set came in I realized that the bumper pad as well as several of the other pieces in the crib set are covered in striped fabric and I thought that a striped wall in addition to all that might be too much.

I'm now thinking about painting an accent wall in a plaid pattern similar to the fabric used on the appliqued star that you see in the pictures.

I need opinions and maybe some pictures of walls painted in a plaid pattern. Painting blue and brown stripes would have challenged my limited skills, so I'm really worried about painting the walls in plaid.

I saw some puppy nursery pictures on a forum where I was looking for decorating ideas and one of the nurseries had solid walls with puppy paw prints painted in accent colors. This was very cute and I wondered if I might be able to camouflage any "less than straight lines" in my wall painting with stenciled paw prints.

I already have my color scheme for my baby boy's puppy nursery theme because the nursery bedding set included paint chips and a decorating workbook!

I hope that some of you will also post your puppy nursery pictures on Unique Baby Gear Ideas so that I can come up with some ideas on how to decorate this baby's room!
