The free antique baby bonnet knitting pattern on this page is so fine, frilly and will most likely be a challenge for even the most experienced of knitters.

The terminology is antiquated and there is not the slightest mention of ( even an outdated one) of yarn recommendations or needle size.
The only thing that the original instructions gives us to go on is a black and white picture that can be assumed to be the bonnet that this pattern is meant to create.

old-fashioned, vintage style baby pixie hat knitting pattern with a chin strap. The thick, chunky yarn makes this pattern a favorite with beginners because it is easy and works up fast!
The following pattern is best suited for experienced knitters due to the fact that most of the information regarding materials, etc. has been omitted.
This picture was included in the original instructions but I cannot say that this is the hat that the pattern will create being as I have not made the bonnet myself.
As you will notice, there is a neck piece or collar of ruffles and this pattern is included below.
