This vintage Peter Rabbit nursery wall mural is one that my friend painted for her baby girl's nursery. She got the inspiration for the painting from the pictures in the set of Beatrix Potter books that she received as baby shower gifts!
It was difficult for me to get a good picture of the entire scene due to camera limitations. It is impossible to see how soft and pretty it is without seeing it in person but take it from me that it is lovely.

I asked her if there was any advice that she could give to others that want to jump in and DIY a similar nursery project and she said just to start early in your pregnancy so that you won't feel rushed.
She said to trace the design on the wall using chalk. Use a projector (unless you are an artist) to get everything sized and in place before you paint. Also, she said to be sure that you use safe paint that won't off gas and pollute the air in the room.

My girlfriend also wanted to decorate her baby's Peter Rabbit nursery using a soft sage green paint color to provide a very natural background for the Beatrix Potter art making the storybook characters stand out.
She found some decorations that are so cute with the Peter Rabbit baby bedding set. The set is a perfect match for the colors that were used to paint the wall mural.
