Turquoise Black and White Baby Nursery Decor with Damask Print Crib Bedding for a Prince or a Princess

Our crib set set the tone for the entire nursery. I got the idea to decorate the baby’s room in turquoise blue, black and white after receiving the Malibu BeBe crib bedding set as a gift at my baby shower.

Once I got started, everything just seemed to come together naturally. The bedding gave me a clear direction, and I built the rest of the room around its colors and pattern.

I especially love the damask print on the crib quilt and accessories. It has a slightly antique feel, but the crisp turquoise, black and white color scheme keeps the room looking fresh, sleek and modern at the same time.

The wall color became one of my favorite parts of the nursery. The turquoise blue paint gives the room personality without feeling too busy, and it works beautifully with the silver-blue and white details in the bedding. The black accents help ground the brighter color and give the nursery a more polished look.

This room is a good example of how a strong palette can guide every decorating decision. Parents looking for more palette inspiration can browse these baby color schemes, while the main collection of nursery ideas offers more room designs and decorating inspiration.

I wanted the nursery to feel simple, clean and not too elaborate, so I tried to avoid overdecorating. Instead, I focused on repeating the turquoise, black and white colors throughout the room so everything would feel coordinated.

The result is a nursery that feels stylish and a little glamorous without losing the calm, welcoming feeling I wanted for my baby. The damask pattern adds elegance, while the bright turquoise keeps the room cheerful and youthful.

Because this color palette can work in both modern and slightly vintage-inspired spaces, it is a flexible choice for parents who want something more distinctive than basic pastels. More ideas for decorating a girl’s room can be found in these baby girl nursery themes, and additional blue-based inspiration can be found among these baby blue nursery ideas.

I truly believe our turquoise baby nursery decor is perfect for the space. I can’t wait for our baby to arrive and finally get to use this room, which should happen somewhere close to May 28.

Monogram it!

Very nice! I would add a large monogram framed with scrollwork of the babys initials above the changer using a vinyl wall decal to personalize it.
