Spa Theme Baby Shower Ideas

I'm no expert on parties, and stopped here looking for spa theme baby shower ideas a few weeks ago. With no idea as to how to pull this kind of get-together off, and after spending a night obsessing over the details to the point that I got no sleep, I decided to pamper myself with a spa day and pick up some spa theme baby shower ideas. I planned to take note of all the things that the technicians did that made my visit pleasant that I could "borrow" and use in making it into a baby shower theme.

The first thing I noticed was that the spa had a relaxing atmosphere with much attention paid to the customer's comfort. I even went so far as to discuss with the manager which of the pampering treatments would be most easily adapted for use in the home. After sharing some amazing tips on how to recreate professional spa treatments at home, she thoughtfully volunteered her business for a few hours if it came to that...for a fee.

Taking her suggestions to heart, it was on to find supplies, baby shower invitations and decorations that could be used for our Spa Party.

Spa Party Favor Ideas

Shopping for cute favors was one of my favorite parts of planning this shower. There are so many fabulous vendors on Etsy that sell very affordable products that we had those spa themed goodie bags filled in a flash!

Since the guest of honor was on a sweet restricted diet the menu included lots of healthy food and NO sweets. That's right not a cupcake, cake or even punch and cookies was served. This actually fit right in and nobody suspected that the decision to serve crudites' was not just part of our spa experience focusing on a healthy diet and cosmetic procedures to enhance our guests' natural beauty.

Our one exception to a "dessert free baby shower" was to include some lovely cupcake soaps (and if you have a mold those are are baby shower favors that you can make yourself)!

Along with the cupcake shaped soaps, we threw in some other yummy smelling homemade bath products in scents that were also inspired by desserts like sugar cookie and gingerbread! Everyone loved them and from the smiles on the faces of our guests as they were leaving, I would say that our spa theme baby shower ideas were a hit!
