What a beautiful room! Decorating Ava's rosy pink and khaki nursery was a dream come true for Kristen, a stay-at-home mom who finally got around to posting pictures of her baby girl's nursery when she was 38 1/2 weeks pregnant!

The finished product is proof positive that good things come to all that wait; you are going to love all of the DIY features and thrift store decorations that are featured in the photos on her blog, Our Life is Blessed Beyond Measure.

Ideas for Refinishing Baby Dressers for the Nursery

Kristen's old dresser was refinished for Ava's nursery and turned out beautifully. A secondhand mirror from a consignment sale replaces an old window turned vintage mirror that was originally slated for the spot on the wall behind the baby's dresser.

Mom decided that the round one fit the space better.

I wish that I could see the details of the window treatments in person; they are lovely!

This adorable dollhouse sits on a table (cart) that was found at a thrift store. Ava's dad refurbished it and just like his other DIY projects; it turned out great!

Along with obliterating the popcorn ceiling and replacing it with texture paint and creating a beautiful paneled wall behind the crib, Dad also made these bookshelves that hold photos in vintage picture frames.

The shelves display pictures and a dolly for the time being but can hold books, toys or anything Ava's heart desires later on.

Mom has a knack for DIY, too! She designed some vintage style wooden blocks that are on display on a table next to a Tiffany lamp that was in her room as a child.

I hope that you have enjoyed vicariously decorating Ava's rosy pink and khaki dollhouse nursery as much as we at Unique Baby Gear and Nursery Ideas have today and that you will stop by Kristen's blog to see more of her projects and tutorials.
