Yellow, Pink and Green Nursery Ready for Our Little Princess

by Alisha L.

The work is done and our yellow, pink and green nursery is now ready for our little princess to arrive! We considered a limited color scheme of just pink and green nursery but after some consideration, yellow was added.

The addition was based for the most part on the color combination found in the fabric of the baby's bedding set.

As we prepared for the arrival of our baby girl, we realized that our space might be better utilized with a round rather than a traditional crib.

I worried that if we went with a round rather than rectangular shaped bed that our choices in linens might be limited or that they would be prohibitively expensive.

Then a set of round crib bedding caught my eye and from that moment I knew that it would be worth spending a few dollars more to make the most of our floor space.

I loved the way the stripes and polka dots came together as well as the pretty pink, lime, and yellow color scheme. Once I had the crib set picked out, I went to the paint store and found the best lime green paint for the lower portion of the nursery walls, pink for the upper portion and then hung a polka dot wallpaper border to cover the line where the pink and green met.

Then I arranged some polka dot decals and wall circles to the side of the striped crib canopy. We felt that using vinyl stickers were a better choice than making arrangements of framed art or painting circles and polka dots because the decals are removable. If I decide to change the furniture around or give our baby girl's nursery a makeover in a few years, all I will have to do is peel them off the walls and relocate them without having to cover nail holes or paint the entire nursery.

The round crib and bubble designs tie the yellow, pink and green nursery together with bright and cheery colors that are just perfect for a baby girl's princess nursery. Now that our pink and green baby nursery is completed, we can hardly wait for our little princess to be born!

Pink, yellow and green

I have seen many pink, yellow and green baby nursery themes that are shared here on the webpage, but I liked this one the best. I wonder if the round crib met your expectations for convenience or if you had regrets and wished after the fact that you had gone with a traditional crib?
