I called target but apparently it's not in the system and they need a barcode. Does anyone have the barcode??

I bought this crib for my daughter in July 2008 I'm not sure how I missed the recall but I wanted to use it for my baby and since it was recalled I wasn't sure if I could take it back and get another crib or what I should do any help is appreciated

I just bought the same crib off craigslist as well, and just saw the model number had been recalled, i paid 150 for it. I am calling target tomorrow to try to get a refund! I hope it works!

I just bought the same model crib on craigslist yesterday...got it all cleaned up and restained, treated it with an oil...looks brand new. Went online to find instruction manual just to see it's been recalled. It was sold for around $400 at Target 4 years ago...and even though I didnt purchase it myself and only paid $120 for it used, I was told to take it to Target for a full refund. I did that tonight and got a gift card for all of the original $400 spent for this crib. You can indeed take back your 4 year old crib and get your money back!

I agree that you really need to be sure that the crib can be safely converted before proceeding.

I will be anxious to learn if you are able to return your crib for a refund or replacement.

I bought my Simplicity 8676c at Target for my first baby and was about to use it for our new baby when I learned that it had been recalled.

A friend told me that you can return them to Target! I hope this is true!

I think what you need is the 8676c Simplicity Crib Instructions Manual. You might have better luck posting in the crib instructions category you decide that it is safe to proceed.

If you have questions about whether the Simplicity Crib 8676c is recalled you should visit the official U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website to get more details.

I visited the website and what I understand is that all full size Simplicity baby cribs that have tubular metal mattress-support frames were recalled on April 29, 2010.

This recall was for both fixed-side AND drop-side cribs.

I don't know how this will affect you since as the other poster mentioned you are now using it as a toddler bed.

I see from your post that you are out of the "baby stage" and need the crib bolts to convert your crib into a bed for your toddler, but I want to mention for the sake of other moms who see your post that the 8676C Simplicity Crib was included as part of a recall in 2010.

I bought this same crib for my daughter in 2008.
