I would like to see if I can find Simmons Crib Model #4728 91 Replacement Rails. My Simmons baby crib model # 4728 91 side rails appear to have possibly been recalled.

However, since the crib is in great condition I would like to see if I could replace the two side drop down railings and make it safe to use.

Is it possible to replace drop side crib rails with stationary rails that have been immobilized to make the crib safe?

Some people say yes. Some people say no but this website advises never to use drop side cribs.
