Safari Jungle Nursery on a Budget

I have some advice to share on how to decorate a safari jungle nursery theme on a very tight budget. My husband and I were newly married and we were poor, actually we were VERY POOR , college students when our first baby joined us by surprise about a year and a half into our marriage.

We were scared to death and completely unaware of how to go about
decorating the nursery. I can clearly remember when I heard the term nursery theme thinking, "What's That"? And as far as any style of decor was concerned at this stage of our lives, we simply could not afford it unless it was cheap..very cheap!
We were happy to find our first baby crib for $25 at a garage sale. Then we were given some cute baby clothes at my baby shower. Looking back, how we made it for the next year and a half is a miracle.
We had our fourth baby boy a year ago and for the first time we decorated using a nursery theme.
The theme we chose was a safari jungle nursery theme. We started by painting the bottom of the nursery wall yellow and left the upper part white, with the cute wallpaper border covering the line where the two paint colors met.
I was lucky and found a dresser that was painted green on the face plate of the drawers that matched one of the shades of green in the border beautifully. I added a little jungle theme nursery lamp and a rocking chair in the corner that complemented the baby's room design. The results were very cute and we had the satisfaction of knowing we created our baby boy's safari jungle nursery and yet stayed right on budget.
