Replacement Drop Side Parts Mechanism for an Old Wooden Crib

by Helena

I am looking for a replacement drop side parts mechanism for an old wooden crib that has been passed down through the family. The catches for the drop side mechanism are plastic and have become fairly fragile to the point that it would be possible for our 4 year old to open one side at a time. Plus, they also stick.

We would like to find a resource for a pair of vertical metal runners with the appropriate parts and catches to modify the crib.

Is there someone that can help me find a resource that carries plastic parts for older wooden cribs or can you tell me how I can safely modify the cot? If so, can you please contact me using the space below (and PLEASE include your contact information so that I might get in touch with you if I have a need.
