Princess Castle Nursery Theme

by Stephanie N

The idea for my baby girl's princess castle nursery theme came about before my daughter was born when I impulsively bought this wallpaper with a castles and clouds pattern. I used it in her room and matched the upper and lower paint colors to the paint shades that were in the wallpaper's border.

The top portion of my baby girl's nursery wall was a beautiful shade of mauve and the bottom was painted a soft shade of yellow. All of the nursery accessories were either white, mauve, or yellow to match the wallpaper.

For even more ideas on creating a dreamy royal space, you can see my page on princess bed designs that pair beautifully with a castle-themed nursery.

As I was designing my daughter's princess castle nursery theme I realized that this was the first time I actively set out to match everything in a decorating project with the colors found in the wallpaper or border as many professional decorators recommend and it worked beautifully!
