Pink and Black Baby Nursery Ideas

The pink and black baby nursery ideas I have collected for my soon-to-be-born baby girl's room are not matching up with my husband's dream of a soccer themed room design.
We both are big soccer fans but when I found out that I would be decorating a baby girl's nursery, I was a little surprised to say the least when I realized that regardless of the sex of our baby that hubby would still want the room to have a sports theme!

Before this came to light I had already found this obviously girly girl baby bedding set that was just what I was looking for!
I had already decided on a black, white and bright pink baby room so I thought maybe I could play up the black and white aspects of the layout and the circles in the fabric and put some soccer ball decals on the wall and maybe frame some black and white soccer photographs to decorate the nursery walls.
Thinking that I had the perfect plan to blend my pink and black baby nursery ideas with a soccer theme (of all things) imagine my dismay when I learned that DH isn't satisfied with my precious pink and black crib set and the he wanted to decorated the nursery using our local soccer team's colors.
Needless to say that I'm a little discouraged at the moment because I truly believe that I'm being very reasonable. Why can't he be happy that he's getting his soccer nursery theme and let me enjoy having some pink in my baby girl's room?
We are going to go shopping this weekend and take a look at our other choices in nursery bedding. If anybody has any suggestions on how to solve this decorating dilemma or pink and black baby nursery ideas to share, I would love to hear from you!

Linda, I hate to take sides but I agree that you are being flexible, and might I say very creative, with your nursery decor. AND the pink and black baby bedding set that you have chosen is adorable and even if you must coordinate it with soccer balls, etc., I think the room will be wonderful.
