Jensen's nursery

Our modern woodland creature themed nursery ideas for baby Jensen's room came from Pinterest. After searching for hours online for crib bedding, I decided that the pre-made, store bought baby bedding sets simply were not what I wanted.

I designed the crib set that you see in the nursery pictures and here's how it was done! I went on etsy.com and found many vendors offering options for moms-to-be to design their own bedding. I found a wonderful seller with a collection of nursery fabrics that I was thrilled to choose from. Her service allowed me to personally select which fabric I wanted for each piece of the bedding including the fitted crib sheet, the crib skirt, the baby's quilt and changing pad cover.

After our primary decorating inspiration arrived, the custom baby bedding set, we proceeded to select the bedroom paint colors.

Many of the items in the space including the branch from a tree that we hung on the wall, the baby's nursery owl perched on the branch, the baby's name banner, the crib mobile and the painted ceramic mushroom nursery decorations that complement the forest nursery theme were all DIY craft projects completed by myself, my sister or my mom.

The baby's dresser, chest of drawers and end table are pieces from a 30 year old bedroom suit purchased for $100 that we refinished.

The room was a fun project to work on while in the nesting phase of my pregnancy!

I love that many friends and family are represented through out the room through gifts given at showers and DIY nursery decorating projects.

I hope that everyone has enjoyed my nursery pictures and that they will vote for my modern woodland creature themed nursery ideas for baby Jensen's room to win Unique Baby Gear Ideas baby nursery photo contest.
