It is so hot today and looking at maternity tops with slogans printed on them today reminded me of how much hotter I felt during pregnancy. Normally, a sweater or light wrap would be called for at 60 degrees but when pregnant all bets are off as to whether sleeves would be too much in the dead of winter.

At our yearly family reunion picnic, after the last slice of watermelon but before the fireworks display I finally got to remove my jacket and let my Labor Day maternity shirt make our birth announcement.

Trying It on for Size
The design of the top is very figure flattering (and who doesn't need that?) with an attractive ruching on the sides that gives the illusion of a waist even as your baby belly expands during pregnancy and to keep the bosom looking its best, there is a shelf bra built-in to provide a little extra support.


HOW DOES IT WORK?
I found that the body suit that I received to review for the Bashful Bump Maternity top Giveaway operates just like non-maternity bodysuits using snaps. The difference between this one and others that may be in your wardrobe already is that the snaps on the maternity version are positioned towards the front to make for easier snapping. This is such a simple thing yet I found it makes all the difference in the world in dressing and undressing AND the added bonus is that you never have to worry about it riding up and exposing any skin.

The Bottom Line

My favorite is the tee with the front that is decorated with red and white candy canes and the saying "Santa called and he wants his belly back!" printed on the front in silver print. just too cute! The "Rock The Cradle of Love Maternity Top Saying" is tailor made for my expectant friends who are both musicians. It caught my eye because it would be the perfect shirt for her as she plays in a rock band and I believe that I have even heard her say these very words for some reason or another on a particular occasion.

The top is so cute and sassy with the picture of a Fender guitar on the front that it's just perfect for pregnant rockers. Maternity Clothes for Free

I would love to know how to get some maternity clothes for free. I'm a mommy to be but I don't have any clothing that is actually manufactured for pregnant ladies. I just don't make enough money on my job to buy clothing that I will only wear a few months so for now I'm just wearing bigger size sweat pants with lots of stretch in the waist.

The long Sleeve v-neck maternity shirt was my favorite tee that is made by a designer called Motherhood Maternity, at least I think that's what the store is called.

I like the style because it has a casual look and yet I can see where I could dress it up for more formal occasions. I have to have tops that are warm and this one looks like it would be very cozy and very comfortable.

Another thing that I like about this Long Sleeve V-neck Maternity Shirt it is that it is gray and that is a great color to both show off my growing baby bump and it's a great color for my complexion and hair color and right now I want something that will look great on me!

You’re crazy if you think I’m going to model them for you, but the bras as well as the panties fit perfectly! I took my measurements and ordered using their size chart and everything ran very true to size. The items are well constructed and keeps all my lady parts in the right place.

I love the way the cups are designed in the black bra they gave me to review. They are slightly lined with a little extra at the bottom to give some extra lift. And who couldn’t use a little extra anti-gravity assistance? With a few tweaks of the adjustable straps and the back closure it looks like I had it custom made just for me and the fabric and color is amazing. Even after washing, the black fabric and elastic has held its shape and color nicely.


They asked me to keep an open mind about the bikini swimsuit bottoms that had "little boy legs" and I did. To be honest, I still prefer a high cut leg but the boy legs would be cute as can be on a girl with the right figure. The swimsuit top is halter style which I really liked and it has the same quality construction as the bra. This was right up my alley since I don’t like soft bikini swimsuit tops that leave room for too much “bounce”. Nobody wants to feel unsupported in public on the beach.

It's cute the way they printed the quote directly over the baby bump and how the bright, red apple is positioned to the side. And I really like the black, white and red color layout of the maternity top, too.

I hate to keep smiling and saying yes when it's like, Yeah, I am (duh).
