Plum purple copper and gray baby elephants and hot air balloons nursery theme
I created this baby elephants and hot air balloons nursery theme design board around the vintage art print that you see displayed on the wall behind the baby's dresser.
When I saw the picture on Pinterest (where else, right?) I completely fell in love with the idea of decorating the nursery that I am working on in the unique colors the artist chose for the balloons.
The print has metallic gold, copper, gray and a shade of dusty purple that is in the plum family.

Finding a set of (ready made) purple baby bedding was a challenge but after some searching I came up with this set.

The crib bumper looked better in a solid color so I used my photo editing program to "sew my own". The bumper is sold separately anyway.
As you can see, I removed a lot of other stuff that Bananafish offers with the Gia baby bedding set collection so I would have room to experiment with other stuff.
Cleaning out the crib left it looking bare and neglected.
The same goes for the baby mobile.

The baby elephants and hot air balloon nursery theme needed more hot air balloons and these suit the room theme very nicely.

If the colors don't blend well with our nursery art, Flight of the Elephants by Terry Fan, a little craft paint will bring it up to speed.
The vintage style of the Thomas Paul elephant throw pillow was exactly what was needed to fill in the empty space until baby is in residence.
The throw pillow can also be used to make the Babyletto Kyoto Glider Slate nursery glider even more comfortable.
The window valance that comes with the baby bedding is alright but this mom prefers full length curtain panels to block the sun. The valance could be used as a topper over the drapes if you like but since they don't come with the set; choose what you like.
I will also consider making the recommendation for other decorations or a painted hot air balloon wall mural depending on the arrangement of the furniture and if there is enough space.
