Where Can I Find a Replacement Mattress Spring for a Baby Cache Heritage Crib Model 3500

Where can I find a replacement mattress spring for a Baby Cache Heritage Crib Model 3500?

Crib mattress support systems are not universal, and matching the outside dimensions does not confirm that a replacement will fit safely. The crib brand, exact model number, production date, mounting points and original manufacturer documentation must match. The guide to model-specific crib mattress support replacements explains what must be identified before a replacement is considered.

Getting a replacement mattress-spring or mattress-support for Baby Cache Heritage Crib Model 3500 can be tricky because the company seems to have limited official support for older models — but there are a few possible things you might try.

There are some mattress supports you might look at on Amazon

The original owner's assembly manual for Model 3500 lists mattress requirements and support-structure info (full-size mattress, adjustable supports, etc.).

So — if the original support (spring/frame) is lost or damaged, you have two main strategies:

You can try to contact any remaining distributors or past retailers of Baby Cache to ask if they still have replacement parts for "Heritage 3500."

Have you checked out any of the universal or generic crib mattress support systems? Some people say many older/convertible cribs can be fitted with an alternative metal spring/frame designed to hold a full-size mattress (I'm not advising this and if you are considering it you must check dimensions carefully).

Who to Contact / Where to Look

There are specialty crib-parts stores (online retailers that deal with used or discontinued cribs) — that sometimes stock universal supports or generic conversion kits that fit a range of crib brands.

Check marketplaces and resale sites — occasionally people sell entire legacy units (crib + mattress support) of Baby Cache Heritage 3500, which you could buy for parts (but this poses safety risks unless checked carefully).

Important: Safety Check First

Because Model 3500 is older and possibly out of production, make sure any replacement mattress support you use:

Matches the crib’s full-size mattress dimensions.

Is sturdy and secured properly — loose or ill-fitting supports can be a safety hazard.

Complies with current safety standards — especially if using vintage or secondhand parts.

Note: I share nursery projects and repair ideas for inspiration, but I’m not an authorized crib technician or manufacturer representative. You should make your own decisions on the advice of the manufacturer or experts in the field. I would never advise you to use a crib that has been recalled. Always verify part compatibility and safety standards before making repairs or modifications even with cribs that have not been recalled.
