St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Nursery Theme

by Allison D
(St. Louis, MO )

We decided on a St. Louis Cardinal baseball nursery theme because my husband is a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. After finding several Cardinals baseball collectible from his childhood, we decided to incorporate them into our baby boy's nursery design.

The color palette in our baby boy nursery theme highlights the Cardinals' red. We selected a red gingham fabric for the baby bedding and a bright red cover for the changing pad. We also have red nursery curtains and a red and taupe area rug. This color scheme complements the espresso baby crib and changing table and dresser combination.

Baseball Art for the Nursery

What makes the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Nursery theme so special are the items from our family. Some of the items that we have on display include a child's baseball mitt, a Cardinal stuffed animal, a Stan Musial figurine, and a Busch stadium replica.

Over the crib is a large Fredbird cut out (Cardinals' mascot), which was actually from the old Busch stadium. We've also hung a pennant from the 2006 World Series and three different styles of Cardinals' baseball hats.

The baby's musical crib mobile is decorated with tiny stuffed Fredbirds and sings "Take me out to the ballgame." My favorite aspect of our St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Nursery theme is an autographed picture Stan Musial; this is unique because it was made out to my father-in-law who we named our after.

We are looking forward to taking our son to his first Cards baseball game and sharing many memories with him. He is already on track to being a #1 Cardinals baseball fan.

Thanks for sharing your baby's baseball theme room with our visitors! The best of luck to you and your team from Unique Baby Gear Ideas.

Decor for a Cardinals themed room
by: wills mom

There are so many things that you can use as decor for a Cardinals themed room for kids. My son has a Cardinal baseball themed room and we got his name in letters decorated with baseballs, bats, and had Fredbird painted on them.

You can get old bats and cut them in half to use them as a border or there are inexpensive cardinal decals that you could also put up or use instead of a wallpaper border.

That's just a few ideas but there are so many things that can be done with licensed Cardinal products to decorate a kid's bedroom.

LOVE this idea...
by: Anonymous

We are also thinking about doing a St Louis Cardinals theme nursery as well!

Where did you find the Fredbird baby mobile?

If this was a DIY decorating project do you have ny pointers or tips on how I can best go about decorating my own?

I was thinking about making my own crib mobile with little wooden baseball bats but didn't know what to attach to them.

Again, love the idea and your nursery looks great!
