If you are searching for easy to clean baby nursery design ideas you may want a different type of floor covering than the style featured in this picture. Can you imagine a baby's bedroom with deep, white shag carpeting? As precious as this baby with the sweet smile looks for the Christmas, my eyes were immediately drawn to the deep pile of the rug. I couldn't help but think that it wouldn't last through one sippy cup filled with grape juice in my baby's nursery.
If you are searching for real nursery design ideas submitted by real moms and dads, keep reading because there are some cute do it yourself nursery decorating ideas that help you to learn how to decorate a nursery on a budget with practical easy to clean items.

My husband-mom-dad-mother and father in law -all gave me ideas. We forever wanted a little girl and with the will of GOD our little girl will be born healthy.
My mother in law is a beautiful Austrian Grandma- who is GOD sent. She and my father in law, baby sit for our little Tanner , giving us time to work in our home publishing business.
We looked at various magazines-my sister in law who lives in Austria mailed sent us,along with the good USA magazine. We, my husband and I, went to various baby specia stores. Then we looked at the cost and OH NO, we could not afford our 3 top choices. Then PAPA ( my father in law came to the rescue) some of my husbands old furniture kept by OMA ( grandma in German) . We also found used beautiful made furniture in need of cleaning up. Daniela, my sister in law, sent us some curtains and wood decorations. PAPA and my husband finished the old furnitue and the room looks beautiful and different than the Plastic Furniture in the stores.
A friend asked us to help her with her little boy on the way.
If possible mom and dads to be, give our plan a look at and see if there are ideas that you can use.

I got the idea that I wanted a Winnie the Pooh Wish Upon a Star bedding set from the pictures in a "Sears" catalog. There are times when we finally get what we wish for that results just don't measure up.

This nursery has white furnishings (minus the twin, canopy bed) which the mother had since 6th grade, we substituted a white Jenny Lind crib for this piece of furniture.
The dresser, tall lingerie chest, and desk with hutch can be used for baby clothes and various knick-knacks.
Little Miss Glenn has a nurse for a grandmother, so everything will be easy to clean and sanitize.
The carpet is a light beige..the walls and ceiling are white, so any theme of the mother's choosing would work.
( I am the prospective grandmother, and the mother is 38....I will leave the other choices to her. After all, I reared my children, and she can do the same. I trust her judgment and her choices) She appears to have done well with her choice of husband, and the colors they choose will surely reflect the traditional pinks or blues according to the baby's sex!
