Nautical Nursery Decor

Prepare to be envious, Moms! Just take a look at all of the secondhand nautical nursery decor that I just bought CHEAP! I hate to brag y'all...but I just have to because I've been worried for months about how I was going to afford the Pottery Barn Kids Baby Boats bedding set that I wanted for my baby boy's sailboat theme nursery.

I have been watching Ebay auctions hoping against hope that I could possibly pick up a piece or two of the Pottery Barn Kids Baby Boats crib set.

The nautical nursery decor that I want is not what one might call "inexpensive".

The Baby Boats collection was originally sold with a crib quilt, the bumper, the crib skirt and a fitted crib sheet for about $80 to $90 plus shipping which is not too expensive but we are kind of pinched right now (isn't everybody?) and buying it at that price point would have left me with no free cash for decorating the rest of the nursery.

And then I found this used set with all the pieces that I need to decorate our baby's small room for less than what I would have paid for a new nautical baby bedding set alone.

I know it's hard to buy used but I figure that the "new" only lasts until the crib set has to be washed and we all know that takes maybe one or two days.

Just so you know, I didn't just stop by Unique Baby Gear Ideas just to brag. I also wanted to look at some of the pictures to pick up some nursery ideas AND to tell you that there are a couple of used sets just like mine for sale right now CHEAP! I bought the one that came with the most nautical nursery decorations and I'm tickled.

I love the sailboat theme crib quilt that is embroidered with appliques of sailboats and I got the matching window valances, a canvas sail boat picture, a wooden wall plaque, a framed Sally Huss Gallery picture, 2 sailboat wall hangings and a sailboat clothes peg.
