I love you, Winnie the Pooh, and My Baby Does Too

by Sarah

Oh how I love you Winnie the Pooh and my baby does, too! Classic Pooh Bear pictures from the storybooks were my inspiration while decorating my baby boy's nursery room. Winnie was always my favorite show and book to read when I was a little girl .

The colors in the drawings are so lovely and natural.

Since I love earth tones it was really easy to tie in all of those shades of dark brown, sage green, gold and yellow into my design that included all of the
Winnie the Pooh characters

How to Make Your Own Winnie the Pooh Baby Bedding

I made the crib bedding set myself using a really adorable Winnie the Pooh baby fabric that I found. The background color of the fabric is light green and it features all of the characters in the print.

I chose a light yellow fabric for the dust ruffle. The color was perfect for the honeypots that I hand-painted along the bottom just over the hem.

I spent a lot of time sewing the custom baby bedding and put a lot of effort into crafts projects that personalized my baby boy's nursery that we can enjoy together until I feel that he has outgrown it and is ready for a change!

I hope that it will be years before he wants to turn his nursery into a place for him rather than a place for him and Mom.

I'm sure that every mom-to-be that comes to Unique Baby Gear Ideas feels the very same way; we want to enjoy our babies as long as we possibly can!

Over the years, I’ve helped thousands of parents better understand crib models, identify missing hardware, and think through general options when replacement parts are needed. Most of the questions I see come from everyday situations like moves, storage cleanouts, or inherited cribs—not from inside knowledge of any manufacturer.
