Lots of new moms focus on how much money do cloth diapers save in addition rather than the other benefits of cloth diapering. My experience indicates that the amount of money saved is considerable but there are so many other benefits that would make it worth the switch even if using cloth diapers were more expensive than using disposable diapers!
I used disposables for the first 20 months of my son's life but after a few months of researching and considering cloth, I finally took the plunge and never looked back. The facts are that I just love cloth! Even though my stash is small (but I'm hoping to add to it by winning some free cloth diaper samples and I have to wash every day or every other day, I still love it and don't mind the frequent laundry!
I love how cute my son's bottom is in those cute fabrics! I also feel better knowing that I'm not throwing a bag full of diapers in the trash everyday leaving the next generation with a big problem. That's just better for everyone! Plus, our house smells so much better since I've stopped using disposables. Who would have thought that cloth diapers have fewer odors?
I can't put a number or give a report on how much money do cloth diapers save but I can tell you they offer a more pleasant diapering experience than the alternative.
