Free Baby Cardigan Sweater Knitting Pattern Tutorial with Pull Over Sweater and Diaper Cover

In addition to the free baby cardigan sweater knitting pattern tutorial for a baby boy (or girl) on this page, there is also a pattern for a boat neck, pullover sweater and a knit diaper cover in a nautical theme. 

The pullover sweater features buttons on the shoulders (that would be perfect in white or shiny brass) and a sailboat stitched in cross stitch embroidery as you can see in the photograph.

The soaker or diaper cover has knitted ribbing around the leg opening and elastic around the waist.

• 1/2 yard of elastic
• 13 buttons

Needles Number 3 American Standard Knitting Needles
Gauge 8 stitches per 1 inch


This baby cardigan set has a nautical look and would work up beautifully using royal blue yarn, white or brass buttons with a few pops of bright red added via the cross stitch embroidery pattern.
