EASTON'S BRIGHT ORANGE OCEAN THEME BABY NURSERY

Here’s some info on how we designed Easton’s bright orange ocean theme baby nursery. For starters, the room was completed just days before Easton was born. Our plan was to make him a fun room without making it look too "babyish" in design.

We decided on the colors of brown, baby blue and orange as our primary nursery color pallet. To kick off our do it yourself nursery decorating project, we removed the old, worn out carpet and replaced it with walnut hardwood flooring. We bought an area rug to give the floor a softer look. The rug picks up the royal blue color that you see in the background the whale theme wall decorations that make up the wall arrangement. The grouping consists of framed artwork that is a small pod of whales floating on the nursery walls.

To bring more light into the room and to provide a contrast with the hardwood floor, we went with simple, white nursery furniture throughout the room. We designed, printed and framed an ocean inspired collage as a feature on one side of Easton’s ocean theme baby nursery and then we offset a small wall with bright orange that looks fantastic and really stands out against the baby blue paint and painted white trim in the rest of the baby’s room.

On the other side of Easton's bright orange ocean theme baby nursery, you can see from the pictures that a series of cool robot paintings designed by illustrator, Jeff Soto, have been used to decorate the large area over the crib.
