Earthy Baby Nursery

To be honest, we are still working on the details of the earthy baby nursery theme so pictures of the baby's room will be coming later when we are done decorating. Also, I am not the expectant mom, I will be the baby's Auntie Debbie. My younger sister is having her first child that will also be the first grandchild among the three sisters.



I am the sister that has been put in charge of decorating the baby's nursery and I am pleased to say that I am almost finished! When I first started gathering decorating ideas we were not sure if the baby would be a girl or a boy so we started working on a gender neutral nursery. With my sisters approval, I chose a yellow and green color scheme accented with hints of brown.

We chose an earthy baby nursery theme for my vegan, environmentally conscious and caring sister's baby. Only green, organic baby bedding and decor would suffice for her special child.

In keeping with this theme, I have incorporated trees and leaves as a family oriented and health minded theme. We used lots of leafy green spring sprouts, plants and flowers in the design plus baby animals, bugs, butterflies and birds.


In addition to the peaceful, serene decorations in the earthy baby room, I have piped in a very soft, new-age music system to soothe the baby.
