Classy Cowboy Baby Nursery Decor with a Black and Green Western Color Scheme

I debated over whether or not to have cowboy nursery decor for awhile before making a decision because I didn't want one of those cheesy baby themes or to lose my personal decorating style in the room.

In the end, the decorative potential for a cowboy themed room won over any objections that I had.
After selecting a dark apple green paint color for the nursery walls I bought antique white and dark chocolate brown nursery furniture.

The baby bedding bumper and crib skirt are chocolate brown and made from a super soft, minky fabric and the fitted crib sheet is a light dusty shade of blue.

I decorated the walls using artwork in barn board frames, featuring the little man. Large decorative stars are arranged around the western style art that I made myself from wood, vinyl, and thick rope. I bought some wood from the hardware store, stained and sanded it.

The next step was to add some vinyl words and pictures that I found online then glued thick rope all the way around the edges.

The blue jean quilts were made to drape over the dusty blue rocker and gray couch in the room. I think that the baby's cowboy nursery decor turned out great and I hope you like it!

From the Webmaster:

I love the black and green color scheme that you used in your cowboy theme baby nursery! The apple green paint color is so refreshing and works beautifully with the artwork that you made yourself and the black crib. Thanks for sharing your unique cowboy baby nursery ideas with us. Your cowboy nursery pictures are full of inspiration for moms who want a western nursery. Jan

Paint color?
by: Anonymous

I'm doing our nursery in the same type of decor and was planning on green for the walls. What is the paint brand and color you used? Thanks! Julie
