Our baby girl's nursery has been decorated with ladybugs,caterpillars, flowers and sunshine giving the room a pleasant day at the park theme!

Our baby girl's nursery is decorated with ladybugs, caterpillars, flowers and filled with the colors of sunshine for good measure. We planned things so that spending time in her room is a lot like a pleasant day at the park surrounded by nature.
The space is filled with colorful painted wall murals which, as you can see from the pictures, works very nicely with our pink, green and yellow nursery color scheme.

Step 1
First we painted the rolling hills and the blue sky and then free-handed the tree, the sun, the ladybugs and the caterpillars. Then we made our own stencils so that the flowers, butterflies, and dragonflies would be uniform in size but we alternated the paint colors to keep things lively and interesting.
Step 2
After we finished painting the walls we put the finishing touches on the room. We chose pale pink nursery bedding and then complemented it using yellow and green fabrics.
We chose a crib and furniture with a natural wood finish to match the painting of the tree. The contrast of the wood with the bright colors is very attractive and gives the room more of a natural setting.
