WHITE ON WHITE BABY NURSERY

by Blair

I don't have it finished yet but I'm excited about my white on white nursery so far. I just put the final coat of paint on the nursery yesterday. In all, I had to go over the walls four times with two coats of primer and two coats of white paint.

The reason for this was that the bedroom was painted a deep Chinese red before we decided that we wanted a white nursery.

We have painted the walls a soft gray white with white wainscoting and crown molding. It looks so clean and fresh. My husband is now saying that the flooring needs to be refinished but there's no way I'm going to risk getting the walls of my white on white nursery dirty before the baby is born. Now I'm off to find a white crib and a white baby bedding set with a full gathered dust ruffle for my baby's white on white nursery.

Can't Wait to See Your Baby's White Nursery Pictures
by: Anonymous

I can't wait to see your baby's white nursery pictures.

I know that you feel like there is so much left to do but once you have the walls painted in everything picked out you are really over half way done.

Once I finally decided on an all white nursery, the walls were painted, the carpet installed, the furniture was assembled and put in place so fast! Everything was completed so quickly that I have had time to paint a picture that I plan to frame and might even move on to a wall mural if that goes quickly.

White on White Nursery Wall Art
by: Anonymous

Painting your own original white on white nursery wall art sounds like a lovely idea and a whole wall mural sounds like a very ambitious plan.

The best I managed was to paint a few small pictures that I had framed that are grouped as an arrangement.

You should be very proud that you have made such progress. My husband had to do most of my last baby's nursery decorating on his own as I had to be on total bedrest so I didn't get to help much.

He took it all in good stride and seemed to actually enjoy the process.

Light gray and white nursery

Light gray and white nursery furniture will be beautiful! Are you brave enough to get a set of solid white baby bedding?

My baby's grandmother and I went shopping yesterday and she paid for the baby bed, the baby's dresser and I believe that she would have paid for the crib set if I have found one that I liked.

Her generosity was unsolicited, unexpected and so very appreciated!

White Nursery Wall Paint
by: Anonymous

White nursery wall paint does sound clean looking but four coats is lot of paint, but red is really hard to cover. To really be sure it doesn't seep throught, a good primer and quality paint would be a must.

I can wait to see your white nursery pictures because I'm curious about the the pale gray colour that you combined with the white paint. But is there enough contrast that it will show in a picture?
