Where can I get parts for a Baby Cache Crib

I'm trying to get in contact with the seller, but with the baby's arrival date getting closer and closer, I figure it's not a bad idea to have all my options clear.

The lot number from the stickers on the frame is 2104121 and looks like it was manufactured June 06, 2009. Any suggestions on where to get a Baby Cache Uptown Lifetime Crib #5500 Stabilizer Bar (D) would be appreciated.

The photos I have are too large to be attached here, so I'll send a follow up email with them included. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything else from me!

I'm looking forward to hearing back from you when you get a chance.

Merry Christmas!

Baby Cache Crib Bar Replacement Options
by: Anonymous

Baby Cache was a popular crib brand for many years, but unfortunately the company closed and no longer manufactures or sells replacement parts. Because of that, original parts for the Baby Cache Uptown Lifetime Crib (Model #5500-NAT) — including the Stabilizer Bar (Part D) — are no longer available directly from the manufacturer. If you see sites claiming to sell official Baby Cache replacement parts, be skeptical as they are typically resellers offering generic or universal parts, not original manufacturer components.

That said, you still have a few options you might try.

What you can try next

1. Look for a compatible universal replacement
Many parents in similar situations have had success using a universal stabilizer bar or support bar that matches:

the length of the original bar

the bolt diameter

and the mounting style (straight bar vs. angled, center support points, etc.)

Before ordering anything, I recommend measuring:

the distance between mounting holes on the crib frame

the thickness of the metal bar

and the size of the bolts used elsewhere on the crib

A local hardware store or metal fabrication shop might sometimes help identify a match.

2. Consider a custom-fabricated bar
If you can’t find a universal option that lines up correctly, a small local metal shop may be able to fabricate a simple stabilizer bar using steel stock. Many parents go this route when a single structural bar is missing and the crib is otherwise in excellent condition.

3.Always proceed with extreme caution when getting replacement parts for a crib and use even more extra caution with the toddler bed conversion.

Because the stabilizer bar is required for both the crib and toddler bed setup, it’s important not to assemble or use the crib until a properly fitting replacement is installed. If you’re unsure about compatibility, having the crib inspected by a professional (which I am not) before use is a very wise step.
