Eco Minded Nursery Wall Mural from Dr. Seuss' Lorax

Our Ultimate Eco Friendly LORAX Baby Nursery Wall Mural was the result of our determination to decorate a Dr Seuss baby nursery for our daughter.

This was our first baby and we wanted something unique and different for the room. Both he and I have a favorite Dr. Seuss tale, The Lorax so out of all the themes to pick from; this was the one we chose.

We went to work on collecting an assortment of colorful decorations and painting ideas that would put our daughter, Sawyer, in a magical forest with an underlying social message to inspire her early in life.

During the research stage when we were gathering baby nursery ideas for our theme, we picked four pages from the Dr. Seuss book that we thought would tell the entire story on four walls. We then color matched all the colors from the book to colors at the local paint store,including orchids, grass green and lagoon blue.

My husband purchased a projector and sketched general images on each wall, also adding several personal touches (for example, we added the Lorax above a cloud in the sky, overlooking his forest after he leaves due to pollution).

Meanwhile I picked out furniture and upholstery that fit into the wall designs well - cherry woods and bright swirly colors added to the whimsical theme.

We went online and were lucky to locate several stuffed animals from the Lorax story and added those as well. Since there were no Dr. Seuss
crib mobiles, or Dr Seuss wall decals that we liked in the baby discount stores, we filled in with rainforest themed accessories and painted everything by hand. Our LORAX Baby Nursery Wall Mural alone took 7 months to complete.

I have been lucky enough to see this nursery with my own eyes. It's not JUST a nursery though...it's an experience! The labor and love put into this remarkable nursery is seen and felt in every brush-stroke of every fun color. The cherry wood furniture blends in beautifully with the bright colors and the accents throughout shout nothing but perfection!

This is the most creative, unique, and animated nursery I've ever seen. The walls bring to life all of the classic Dr. Seuss characters that will surely bring a smile to your little girl's face everyday.

What a work of art, and what a labor of love for their little girl!! It is easy to see how much care and planning have gone into such an elaborate project! The colors are very striking, and the furniture and accessories compliment the decor, adding many personal touches. This mural showcases one of the most talent-laden projects I have seen in a long time, and it says much about the artists by the amount of time and effort they applied to such a special project for their baby. Definitly one of the most original and well designed nurseries I have seen.
