Twin Girls Green and Purple Eclectic Nursery Theme

Twin Girls Green and Purple Eclectic Nursery Theme

We created our twin girls nursery theme by first picking out our color scheme of light green and pink. We then shopped for and found all used furniture items on Craig's list and other second hand outlets. The baby girls nursery theme was created on a shoe string budget and that is one of the reasons it is so very unique!

We purchased an inexpensive second-hand dresser and changing table and adapted them to our color scheme by painting the dresser the same color as the walls and sewing a matching, gathered curtain to decorate the bottom of the changing table. We then chose discount crib bedding sets and bumper pads that matched our twin girls nursery theme colors.

The finishing touches included homemade nursery curtains using our theme's colors and wooden letters purchased at a crafts store that spelled the girls' names to decorate the walls. We painted the letters to match the pink color used in the color of the curtains. We purchased second-hand ballerina bears and angel bears that we mounted on the wall as additional decorations. We used several family heirloom dolls and stuffed animal pieces to decorate the space over the windows.

The result is the beautiful twin girls nursery that you see, custom made, ready and waiting for the arrival of two beautiful twin girls!

Peaceful and pretty for two princesses! Just goes to show you can decorate on a budget and do wonders with just a can of paint, a needle and thread, a little imagination, love and enthusiasm for the project. Congratulations on your twins and a job well done.

BABY BEAR HUGS
by: RaMona Rose

I love the colors! They are so soft and soothing. This nursery looks cozy and warm! I love the fact that you got most of your things from second hand baby stores. Most places have lots of furniture, clothes and other items, that have only been used for such a short period of time. You have added your own special touches with fresh paint and curtains and it is adorable! Every little girl loves bears, from babyhood up. I know the twins will enjoy giving each other little bear hugs in this room for a long time. Good job!

Beautiful and "Green"
by: Melissa

What a beautiful room for two beautiful girls! I'm impressed with how it was done on a shoe-string budget and that as a result it is very "green" - reusing/repurposing items instead of letting them end up in a landfill. Great job.

Great Things come from Great People

The Twin Girls Nursery is great. I got to know their mother a couple of years ago and knew that what ever she set her mind to do she could do it. She did it again by creating something beautiful. Life is about knowing what to do with what you have. I give it a 5 Star.

Tickled Pink and Green
by: Grace

Love the color scheme. Also the names of the girls on the walls is clever and makes it unique for them. I love the idea of shelves above the windows holding toys. All in all, it's very sweet and I'm sure the girls love their space!
