Pink Monkey Baby Nursery Room Ideas

I find the color pink and brown scheme attractive and I love cute monkey stuff so decorating the baby's room should have been a breeze, right? Well, not exactly because you see I had a slight problem; everything I liked for monkey nursery themes was for boys!

I had to figure out a way to create my own decorations featuring pink and brown polka dots and monkeys.

My mom made the crib quilt and bed skirt for her crib in the fabrics I chose. We bought a pink fitted sheet and a brown bumper pad.

When I was ready, I failed in finding any girly monkey pictures to use in decorating the walls but I was not defeated; I painted one! Then I painted one personalized with her name to hang over the bed.

I created other wall art by taking 8x10 plain canvases and covering them with leftover material from her crib set. Then I bought pink and brown circles and applied them to the walls using a solution that would not damage the paint. I am prohibited from painting the walls since we are renting since we are in the army and move often. The dots are removable and give the walls a fun pop of color without paint!

I also had my Mom make the nursery curtains to match her crib set.
