Pink and Green Strawberry Baby Nursery Ideas

by Jan

I am working on a few pink and green strawberry baby nursery ideas very early this year! The requests for fruit-based room themes usually don't come until after Easter. But this winter was unusually warm and strawberry season came early and believe me, I'm not complaining.

I look forward to warm sunny days as well as juicy, sweet berries and the beautiful nursery colors that they inspire like the one on my inspiration board this very day.

All of my baby girl nursery ideas here started with this really cute set of Trend Lab baby bedding appropriately called, Juicie Fruit.

The crib set works fine and would look super in a baby girl's nursery but mom made the mistake of buying nearly every piece offered in the collection.

As you can see, that's a LOT of stuff. If the nursery is small; it would be too cluttered and way too "matchy-matchy".

Here's the alternative design that I plan to suggest to her at our next meeting.

Please excuse my lack of photo editing skills but you get the idea.

Which of the baby girl's nursery pictures do you like better?

If I didn't know better I wouldn't think it was the same room! Here's what I did to completely change the look of the room while using the exact same crib set.

First I removed:
  • the lamp and teddy bear from the chest of drawers
  • the wall decorations that came with the bedding collection
  • the bright green and pink window valance made from strawberry print fabric
  • the striped crib skirt
  • the kid's chair and ottoman
  • the diaper stacker
  • the fabric storage boxes

The fabric storage boxes are fine but they should be on some shelves or in the closet, not sitting around taking up precious floor space.

Once the slate was clean I replaced the above items with:
  • a lime green lamp with a ceramic base
  • an elegant, hot pink nursery wall decal
  • a matching tab top nursery window valance and crib skirt
  • an upholstered glider chair and ottoman
  • pink and green tissue paper pom poms

I would appreciate any feedback on my pink and green strawberry baby nursery ideas that you can give as well as any suggestions for other improvements that could be made! Thanks for visiting Unique Baby Gear Ideas and we hope that you will come back soon.

Berries

Our nursery room theme is berries, too! One of the lovely baby shower gifts I received was a framed wall quote that said, "I love you berry much".
