Kylans Tropical Rainforest Nursery Theme

We decorated Kylan's tropical rainforest nursery in bright, gender neutral colors and with lots of baby animals as a tribute to the endangered creatures who inhabit the jungles of our planet.






The crib set presented a difficult decision as there were so many cute ones to pick from. Wel ultimately chose the Fisher Price Rainforest baby bedding collection which was to become the inspiration for our tropical nursery's color scheme.



The fabric served as a guide for choosing the best wall paint for the baby's room and gave us some decorating ideas along the way.

Often the same decorations that decorators include in jungle nursery themes will work but we added lots of animals that might be found in tropical climates.

BRIGHT, TROPICAL Nursery Wall Paint Colors

The lime green that we used in painting the majority of the rainforest nursery walls was pulled from the highlights of the palm trees printed on the fabric of the baby's bedding.

Decals and Décor for a Tropical Rainforest Nursery Theme

The baby jungle animal decals that we used to decorate Kynlan's tropical rainforest nursery theme on the wall are applied onto the walls are similar to the cute characters that Fisher Price uses on many items included in their rainforest line. We even added palm tree stickers and monkeys to give the nursery an authentic rainforest look.

Tropical Nursery Lighting

The last part of decorating the baby's rainforest nursery was to find some cool lights that were in keeping with the room's theme. There were capiz shell ceiling fixtures, sconces and other fantastic lights but when we saw the round, lime green light fixture; we knew that would be perfect.
