Free Baby Poncho Knitting Pattern

Updated by of Unique Baby Gear Ideas

This easy free baby poncho knitting pattern will work up into a comfortable layer for your little one.  The cape is easy to make and manage since it is slightly smaller than a blanket and so stylish.

The hooded poncho has tassel ties that are attached to a crocheted chain so basic knowledge of crochet as well as knitting is required.

Some parents consider such ties to be a safety hazard for a child. Those of a like mind with the skills to do so might finish the cape with a button or snap closure. Others might look further for a pattern with instructions for a pullover poncho or one with buttonholes.
