I chose and decorated a Dr Seuss nursery for my baby boy that is due to arrive in just three short months! The nursery wall murals that we painted were by far the most time consuming part of the decorating process.

They are a big hit with all of the friends that check in to see the progress that we have made with the project, too.

All of the characters that we included in the scenes were large.

I painted everything life size and the project took me 8 days to complete.

Baby Boy Nursery Pictures

I hand painted 11 murals in all including:
  • (5)Lorax trees
  • (1)I am Sam character
  • (1)green eggs and ham platter with hand
  • (2) Things (one and two)
  • (1) Cat in the hat
  • (1) Large painting of Horton of Horton Hears a Who with flower

After putting in all of this hard work I made the decision to give up the dough and get the Dr Seuss Cat in the hat baby bedding set, nursery curtains, clock and crib mobile. And before finishing up, I did decide to handpaint 2 Seuss themed picture frames.

When I walk into the completely decorated room now I am taken back a little that all that of the art in the room was something that I did! I had no idea I had it in me!

I hope that Unique Baby Gear Ideas' visitors like my Seuss theme and that if you paint something similar that you will share your baby boy's nursery pictures, too!

Truffula Trees and Dr Seuss Characters
by: Tish

Did you use decals for any part of the wall mural? I think that I can paint the Truffula trees but I'm not very confident that I can manage the other characters like Horton Hears a Who, etc.
