Jenny Lind Baby Cradle Parts Replacements
by: Anonymous

Hi — congratulations on the new baby coming soon 🤍

You’re not alone in this situation. With Jenny Lind cradles, the wood pieces often survive just fine, but the small metal hardware (hooks, bolts, and screws) is very easy to misplace over time.

Unfortunately, original Jenny Lind cradle hardware isn’t sold separately by the manufacturer anymore. What does usually work is replacing the missing hooks and bolts with compatible cradle hardware, as long as the sizing and threading match your original pieces.

If you still have any of the original hooks or bolts, try measuring:

Bolt diameter and length

Thread type (coarse vs fine)

Hook opening size

That will help ensure a proper fit.

I see a link above to a compatible replacement option that many parents use successfully for Jenny Lind–style cradles. Be sure to double-check measurements before installing, and always do a gentle stability check once everything is assembled.

If you’d like, you can also tell me:

The brand or approximate age of the cradle

Whether you still have one original hook or bolt

I’m happy to help you narrow it down further if I can and pictures would really be helpful
