Our barnyard baby nursery decor was inspired by the Nojo Farm Babies bedding collection. I chose this particular set because I really like the green and brown nursery color scheme that is mostly gender neutral.

Plus, we bought the Munire Urban crib and dresser in a dark cherry color finish and the bedding colors seemed to complement the wood very nicely.

One of the reasons that we chose to buy furniture from the Munire collection is that we currently have an old piano in the nursery because we do not have room for it in the rest of our house and the finishes of the furniture and the piano match very well.

When we were shopping we did our best to match the wood colors as closely as possible.

Farm and Barn Stencils

I happened to stumble across the nursery stencils I used for the DIY wall painting project at My Wonderful Walls. I immediately fell in love with the barn, the baby farm animals and other farming elements of their patterns that could be used to paint a wall mural to complement the crib set.

We chose a bright blue and green color to use for the sky and grass and then began planning the barnyard scene.

Please note that we live in a small college town, and the mascot of the college is a purple cow which explains why we decided to hide a small purple cow in the cornfield.

Fortunately, it was easy to find many decorative nursery accessories that matched the sage green and brown color theme of our farm theme. For instance, we discovered that The Fisher Price Zen collection matches perfectly with our farm baby bedding set and we were also able to find a Dutailer glider that also matched.

Your farm theme baby nursery is so cute! There's something there for every kind of farmer whether they specialize in raising cows, pigs, horses or whatever. And I can imagine that your wall painting will inspire rural moms to buy some paint and a brush and get creative. Thanks for sharing your barnyard theme decorating ideas with Unique Baby Gear Ideas!

Baby Farm Animals Theme
by: Rayna

It is so nice to see a nursery decorated with baby farm animals. I'm a country girl and love living on the farm and that is where I will raise my son who will be born in the next few weeks.

Unique Baby Gear Ideas shares general safety information based on guidance from U.S. safety agencies and child-safety experts, who advise families not to use drop-side cribs. This guidance reflects current U.S. safety regulations and applies regardless of a crib’s age or condition.

Federal safety standards prohibit the manufacture, sale, and distribution of drop-side cribs. While enforcement focuses on commercial activity, safety agencies strongly advise against using drop-side cribs in any setting due to the risks they pose.

If you own a drop-side crib, safety agencies recommend removing it from use permanently and following local disposal or recycling guidelines so it cannot be reused.
