Kidsline Tropical Rainbow Fish Nursery Baby Crib Bedding Set for Boys and Girls

Here are my ideas for decorating an ocean themed nursery using the tropical fish nursery bedding set that I bought used! I'm going to decorate the nursery nursery walls baby painting them ocean blue with ripples that make it look like you're underwater using thinned wall paint as a glaze.

The paint color that I chose for the base is turquoise blue and the highlights will be in shades of aqua that is going to be so cool as a background for the tropical fish, sea creatures and underwater plant life.

I'm not a very artistic person but I can paint the colors on traced patterns pretty well. If I run into problems I can use stenciling and ocean theme wall decals to fill in the ocean themed nursery walls.

OCEAN THEMED NURSERY DECORATIONS

I'm going for a tropical fish shack atmosphere so the tropical fish will be the most colorful and eye catching features of the baby's room.

I have sea shells displayed in a shadow box on the wall and some candles that are molded to look like coral displayed on floating wall shelves.

QUESTION

I'm almost finished with the my baby girl nursery design but one thing is bothering me and I would like opinions as to whether the ocean themed nursery bedding set that I have (used it for my first baby) on hand will be alright for a baby girl? The fabric of the crib quilt has a lot of blue, but there are touches of pink, too.

Should I toss it and buy a more feminine ocean themed nursery bedding set or be frugal and add plenty of feminine decorations in the room to offset the blue?

Unique Baby Gear Ideas shares general safety information based on guidance from U.S. safety agencies and child-safety experts, who advise families not to use drop-side cribs. This guidance reflects current U.S. safety regulations and applies regardless of a crib’s age or condition.

Federal safety standards prohibit the manufacture, sale, and distribution of drop-side cribs. While enforcement focuses on commercial activity, safety agencies strongly advise against using drop-side cribs in any setting due to the risks they pose.

If you own a drop-side crib, safety agencies recommend removing it from use permanently and following local disposal or recycling guidelines so it cannot be reused.
