Baby Crib Brand Name and Model

by Jessica
(WA)

Can someone please help me identify my baby crib brand name and model? I purchased this crib at a garage sale a few years ago, and I can’t find a label anywhere with the model name or numbers on it.

The crib is white metal and has one drop-down side that slides down on plastic tracks.

I’ve searched online and looked through photos of similar full-size cribs, but I haven’t been able to find anything that looks exactly like mine. Does anyone have any ideas?

From the webmaster:

It can be difficult to identify a baby crib brand name and model number if the original label has been removed or worn away. I recommend taking another careful look at the entire crib, including the mattress support frame, rails, joints, and all hardware, to see if there are any stamped numbers, letters, or markings that may have been missed.

If possible, please take clear photos of the crib and return to
Unique Baby Gear Ideas
to upload them. Many times, someone else may recognize the crib or have the same model and can help identify it.

If photos aren’t an option, providing more detailed descriptions can also help. Information about the headboard style, rail design, spindle spacing, legs, or any unique decorative details may point to a specific brand or model.

Hopefully, we can help you identify the crib, as it’s important not to use any baby crib unless you’re certain it has not been associated with a safety recall.

Suggestions for how to figure out Crib Brands and Models
by: Anonymous

You say you've got a white metal crib with one drop-down side on plastic tracks and no visible label or model number. That style has been made by several different companies over the years. Unfortunately, many older cribs didn’t have easy-to-find model labels, or the labels have simply worn off with time. That makes identification harder, but there are still ways to narrow it down.

Here’s what I recommend:

1. Look for any identifying marks on the hardware.
Check the screws, bolts, or even the plastic track pieces themselves. Sometimes manufacturers mark these parts with tiny letters or numbers that can be a clue. Take clear photos of those and post them with your question — community members can often recognize specific patterns.

2. Take clear photos of the entire crib from several angles.
Include close-ups of the drop-side rail, the track mechanism, any unique design details on the legs/posts, and the corners. Even small decorative touches (like shaped metalwork or unique joint designs) can help others match it to known models.

3. Post the photos with your question.
Right now it’s hard for anyone to help without seeing what you’re working with. Once people can see the crib, someone often recognizes it or finds a very close match.

4. Be cautious!
Older drop-side cribs (especially ones with plastic track mechanisms) have been the subject of safety recalls and changes in safety standards over the years. Even if you identify the brand and model, make sure you confirm whether it meets current safety guidelines before using it for a baby. Identification is just the first step — you have to be certain about safety next.

Lots of parents have been in your shoes, and sharing a photo usually unlocks the knowledge of someone who has seen the same crib before. If you can upload a few images, you’ll get much better answers.

You’re doing the right thing by asking — that’s the first step in making sure whatever you use is safe and right for your baby.
