Ocean Theme Nursery

To get our Ocean Theme Nursery decorating project started I just freehanded a sketch of some waves on the walls. Once I had my sketches penciled in I began to paint the sea creatures beneath the waves and shade with a darker blue to try and capture some of the depth of the ocean in the water portion of the mural.

After I had the sea colored in, I painted the sky a lighter shade of blue for contrast. To highlight the blue ocean water, I took some white paint to outline and distinguish the waves.

I love the way our ocean theme nursery turned out! It's light and airy and the sea creatures on the walls and the baby's bedding give it a whimsical look that we all will enjoy for several years. After searching through hundreds of pictures of Baby Nursery Themes, Nursery Bedding and Baby Nursery Decorating Ideas I have not seen a single one that I like any better than the one that we decorated ourselves.
