Decorative items may come in close contact with your child even with the most careful design and planning. Consider that decorative items on the canopy over the baby crib could fall into the baby's bed and become a choking hazard or injure your baby in some other way so be cautious. A good decorating rule of thumb would be not to use anything to decorate your nursery or crib that you would not want baby to play with. The idea is to watch out for Murphy's Law when decorating your baby's rooms. Don't use anything that would hurt a child as a room decoration or prop no matter how pretty or trendy!
In an underwater nursery theme, pirate theme or beach themed baby's bedroom, this still gives us lots of ways to decorate with all the sea creatures in vivid colors that you could want! Look no further than the baby bed and bath products department for some colorful bath toys. You can use the tropical fish, purple octopus and yellow submarine as decorations! Your baby's tropical tiki hut bedding set will look fabulous when paired with a sheer Hawaiian theme blue baby crib canopy that has been decorated with the same sea creatures that entertain babies during bath time while playing in the water. One ocean theme crib canopy came with soft stuffed cotton crabs, seahorses and other removable swimming critters just like the ones in his underwater mural on the nursery wall. If baby wants to touch and play with the decorating hangings on his baby crib canopy while lounging on his cool baby bedding, an interesting ocean dwelling critter is easy to pull off and use to tickle baby sweetly to sleep. When baby is no longer in a baby crib and doesn't need a crib canopy any longer, you may not want to sell your unique crib canopy and themed baby bedding as a set! You can save your crib canopy for your toddler to use as a playhouse. For more ideas on how to decorate with your crib canopy go to Unique Baby Gear, Nursery Themes and Decorating Ideas.
