When is Easter? Oh my! Easter 2007 is April 8, 2007 so get your Easter gifts and gift baskets ready! It doesn't matter to me when Easter Sunday falls, I start gathering my ideas for stuffers for the kids' Easter baskets. The fun begins with trying to find a good mix between a unique gift that will last like Easter collectibles or some cute baby keepsakes in the shape of a bunny rabbit or an Easter egg.
I like to tuck something that will bring back memories of that Easter in the gift basket arranged in the basket with the candy, eggs and other Easter stuff for kids that isn't too expensive. Each year I like to get one special item that can be kept in the memory box or the family time capsule. I like to get a different item each Easter so that I can associate each one of the Easter gifts with a particular Easter holiday. Easter basket stuffers are great, but I like to include unusual items that can be looked at down the road that will remind us of each Easter along with dated Easter pictures that I took myself. Professional Easter portraits of pretty little girls and boys in their Easter outfits are special, too!

One place that you can get cool ideas for home made Easter decorations and Easter bunny crafts and gifts is from the magazines that they position beside the checkout counters at the discount stores. Most of the Easter craft ideas are really cheap and if you have a good memory you don't even have to buy the book! Save your money for the more expensive special occasion gifts that you have to get!

One of my favorite ideas is to find personalized items to give as Easter gifts. Personalize your Easter gifts with the child's name and have the date of that year's Easter Sunday engraved on it. That's what makes a truly unique gift in my book! For an Easter theme baby shower, you might even have the baby's name and "Baby's First Easter" and the year or date of birth engraved on it! This works for silver cups or other metal items that are ready to personalize or engrave right down to baby rattles and engraved silver baby spoons.
