DISNEY FABRIC

Disney fabric is an excellent choice for the baby’s nursery or for the little Princess at the toddler stage ready to move up to a big girl bedroom design. Once upon a time, Disney baby fabrics only came in Disney Princess fabric patterns. Those days are long gone and modern moms are sewing cute stuff for baby boys using Pixar Cars fabrics and others.
DISNEY FABRIC for QUILTING
Quilters aren’t just into vintage, floral fat quarters these days. They can do wonders with a few yards of colorful, 100% cotton fabric. Disney theme patchwork baby quilts make fabulous shower gifts for a friend. A cute Disney fabric quilt won’t require as many yards of fabric as a complete set of Disney Princess baby crib bedding and you can stitch it up in one afternoon. If you plan on quilting with your Disney fabric for a baby, check the fabric content to be sure that it’s not a polyester blend. Blends don’t quilt as well as cotton and most moms prefer cotton for their baby’s bedding.
DISNEY FLEECE
There are lots of gifts and articles of clothing that you can make with Disney fleece fabrics. A remnant of children’s Disney polar fleece will make a sweet baby blanket to wrap an infant. If you can manage a pair of matching baby booties and a hat, so much the better. Fleece Disney fabrics are suitable to make inexpensive baby clothing such as:
- Cotton fleece baby blankets
- Hats and Mittens
- Baby Bunting
- Car seat covers
Any of these items make wonderful, personalized gifts and are easy enough for a beginner.
DISNEY FLANNEL FABRICS
I had a flannel nightgown when I was a little girl covered in Disney characters. Disney fabric prints covered in your baby’s favorite princess or cartoon character come in any number of colorful prints and patterns that will appeal to kids of all ages. Lots of people who sew prefer cotton fleece fabrics over cotton flannel, but it’s really difficult to beat flannel for pajamas or gowns or a receiving blanket. Flannel may not be as easy to sew or as flexible as fleece, but flannel baby clothes and pajamas are much lighter than fleece.
It’s so easy to pick up ready made bedding and accessories, but crafty decorators know that you can save lots of money by sewing your own duvet covers and window treatments with Disney fabric. You can decorate two bedrooms for the price of one with custom homemade draperies and bedding that you can be proud of.
