When I visit my friends in New York and go to trade shows, the number of backpack baby carriers and slings that I see there is tremendous in comparison to the amount that I see being used by moms and dads when I’m out and about here at home. What does this lack of baby wearing indicate to me?
Well, it tells me that I have work to do! I’m going to contact birthing class instructors to see if they will allow me to set up workshops to teach new parents the benefits of using slings and carriers. If there is no time or room for classes of this nature, then perhaps I can at the very least post notices on the community bulletin board in the OB/GYNs office with the web addresses of baby carrier reviews, forums and videos that can teach the basics of baby wearing.

- Comfort – How comfortable the carrier is while in use
- Baby’s vote – How did my passegenger like it?
